--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This edition of Jackalope Fest created by Tribu, and pushed by Fido has been under pressure this year, Mother nature has decided make it rain straight during the weekend.
The crew worked his ass off to maintain the event, the people was staying even in the rain, they were here to see the show. And its must goes on.
That Nassim Lacchab from Morroco, was the best example, even under the rain, he was unable to stop skating, till he landed his tricks on the 9 stairs.. and it’s exactly what he did. The crowed was on fire at this point. Cause everybody knows the danger factor to skate under the rain, even if you never step a foot on a board.
On the other side the 13years old and less contest was off the hook, the kids went technical this year, with a good flow. Cayde McInStray (the winner) was the best example, there is definitely future pro matter here.
So much good time again like each year, and so many stories to tell, but its photo blog, not a writer blog.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Most of skateboarders i’ve known, have all in common one thing, they like simple things.
its often, doing thing like hanging out with friends, eating BBQs, camping or just travelling.
Another thing often appeared, that they (we) like pets, they can be dogs, cats, snake or raccoon.
We appreciate the company of pets, and i personally love to take their photographs(both of them).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Spring is almost there for pretty much everybody except for us in Canada, East Canada more precisely. It’s been always rougher and harder to skate here, but it’s what in the same time it give it more flavour. Even if we have at least a complete month before temperature came back to “normal”. We can feel here in Montreal already a spring mood in the street.
Here are some pictures from last fall 2014. It’s almost there.

I’m always on the hunt of new talents on 4 wheels, and let me tell you, its not always easy to figure out who is gonna have a chance to do something in the skateboard industry.
It’s not only about the skills, but about the attitude too, Felix Patry is that kind of kid, always good to have in your skate missions, and always the good kid to helping out.
Congrats Felix, you deserve it well that parution in the new Concrete mag! and Thanks Oliviero for the text !

Pretty stoked about this picture in the new issue of Concrete Mag, cause this is Jessy Ramirez the most stylish skateboarder right now in Montreal,
and cause i love that spot but its harder than it looks to pop a trick high enough to make it legit. and also street grab are not trendy, and really rare in magazines.
Thanks Brian Caissie for the love! grab a copy in your favorite skateshop.

Earlier this month i went to a last minute road trip with the Axis boys to Toronto. I’m precising that was a last minute, cause it’s always the best trips.
our plan was no plan, i went there 9 years ago, and barely remember the streets (i’m getting old ahaha), and it was the first time for the rest of our team.
after scooting spots on the internet, (thanks a lot @wintercrimes ! ) we’ve spent a very nice 3 days on the road, doing urban camping at wallmart’s parking lot.
Thanks a lot the guys, it was hella fun, he have to do it again!
Follow them on Facebook, instagram and twitter they will post more picture from the road trip

For the 3rd year Tribu Experientiel produced the famous Jackalope Fest at the Olympic Stadium of Montreal. Started by skateboarders, the goal was to have a familly event and bring new generations of kids into a sport they probably didn’t knew before. This year you could do some parkour, bike, wake skate, slack line, but for the most of us, skateboarding was the main sport upfront.
Since the first edition, i have been lucky to be the official photographer, and seen that “little” event evolving into something who is growing up bigger and bigger each years. This years was particularly intense, cause it ends up to be an official stop of the world cup of skateboarding in Canada. the pressure was high, but even if in this kind of event its hard to have everything perfectly smooth, to my opinion the crew killed it.
It’s definitly a big deal to have this kind of fest in Montreal, cause its unique, its not only a skateboard contest, its more than this. Each years i can see the smile on kids faces, or just stoked to see skateboarding for the first time. And that’s definitly my motto to keep going.
i surely didn’t shot only skateboarding that week end, there is tons of other pictures on the official Facebook
